About our Wake Forest masonry contractor team

How I came to masonry

Before I ever laid brick for pay, I ran the schedule for a busy masonry outfit. I learned the trade from the masons I sent out each morning, first by asking questions and then by working on their crews. In 2020 I started this business here in Wake Forest. We're best known for brick and mortar repair, plus walls and outdoor work where the planning matters as much as the build.

Most of our calls come from homeowners with older brick, a wall that's started to sink or a project they want done right the first time. I come out to look at the job and write the estimate myself. Our own masons do the work, and I check in as it goes. What I care about most is that you understand your own house by the time we leave, because a homeowner who knows why mortar wears out or why water builds up behind a wall can make good calls for years. I'd rather fix the cause than patch the sign. You can see the full list of what we do on our home page.

Licensing and insurance

  • State license on larger projects

The state's licensing board for general contractors says that by law a general contractor must be licensed when the total project cost is $40,000 or more. If your project reaches that size, ask anyone you're considering to show you that license before you sign.

  • Licensed and fully insured

We're licensed and fully insured, which matters because masonry is heavy work done right up against your house. Ask about it when I come out for the estimate and I'll walk you through what it covers.

Serving Wake Forest Since 2020

What working with us is like

  • You see what's wrong before you see a price

I walk the job with you, point out what I see and explain why it's happening before we talk numbers. The estimate puts in writing what we'd do and why, so you know exactly what you're paying for.

  • We leave sound work alone

We repair the brick, mortar or block that needs it and leave the solid parts as they are. That keeps the job smaller and easier on your house, and your money goes to the part that's actually failing.

  • Help sorting out which office covers you

Some homes with a Wake Forest address sit outside the area the Town of Wake Forest's inspections department covers, which is the city limits plus the land just beyond them that the city also oversees, and in Wake County those homes go to Wake County Permits and Inspections. You're responsible for making sure the right permits are in place, so when a job needs one we work out with you which office covers your address and handle the paperwork side together, and for historic district homes in Wake Forest we plan around the city's approval before any work starts.
